Celestyal Discovery sails through the Western Mediterranean and into the Atlantic, combining the history and culture of Spain with the exotic atmosphere of Morocco before finishing in Lisbon, Portugal. December 5, 2026 Mediterranean Splendor Itinerary
Days 1–2 – Tarragona (Barcelona), Spain
Your Mediterranean adventure begins in Tarragona, located along Spain’s beautiful Catalonian coast near Barcelona. Consider arriving early to enjoy Barcelona before joining Celestyal Discovery and beginning our journey south.
Day 3 – At Sea
Relax and settle into life aboard Celestyal Discovery. Enjoy the ship, take in the views and get ready for four very different ports over the next four days.
Day 4 – Malaga, Spain
Welcome to Spain’s Costa del Sol. Malaga combines Mediterranean scenery with centuries of history, inviting plazas and wonderful Spanish cuisine. Our extended port day gives you plenty of time to explore before the ship departs late in the evening.
Day 5 – Gibraltar
Stand at the crossroads of Europe and Africa. The famous Rock of Gibraltar dominates this fascinating British territory, where Mediterranean, British and Spanish influences come together. On a clear day, you can look across the Strait of Gibraltar toward the coast of Africa.
Day 6 – Casablanca, Morocco
Today we arrive in North Africa. Casablanca introduces us to Morocco’s distinctive architecture, flavors and culture. With a full day in port, there is time to venture beyond the waterfront and experience one of the most intriguing destinations on our itinerary.
Day 7 – Cadiz, Spain
Return to Spain for a visit to historic Cadiz in Andalusia. Surrounded by the sea, this ancient port city is known for its narrow streets, inviting plazas and relaxed atmosphere. Cadiz can also serve as a gateway for exploring more of southern Spain.
Day 8 – Lisbon, Portugal
Our cruise concludes in Lisbon, one of Europe’s great capital cities. Colorful neighborhoods, historic trams, tiled buildings, waterfront views and incredible food make Lisbon a destination worth exploring. Consider extending your vacation with additional time in Portugal before flying home.
